Meet Josh

I’m Josh, I’m a Professor and Sport Psychologist and I’m glad you’re here.

Sport (and life) is a series of SHIFTS - it is inevitable, things are going to change. My purpose is to help you navigate those, heal, grow, thrive, and live with passion.

After 12 years of working with teams and clients, my excitement is still as great as ever. I do what I do because I love helping people grow into who the person and athlete know they can be.

I can help you unlock what’s already inside of you.

My life's work has been the integration of the physical and mental aspects of being human and helping others grow and thrive through connecting the two. Finishing my Doctorate in Sport and Performance Psychology was the culmination of my undergraduate focus (B.A. Exercise Physiology) and graduate focus (M.A. Counseling). Integrating the two is my life’s work.

Whether in a clinical setting or coaching, I help facilitate healing and behavior change toward finding passion, meaning and competitive success in athletics and life. With a strong educational background, I bring experience in leadership (12+ years coaching), teaching (current University Psychology Professor), and clinical counseling experience (5+ years).

My mission is to help unlock your passion and potential for all sport has to offer through a strengths based and existential approach rooted in the reality of the moment.

Personally, I enjoy the outdoors (skiing, biking, running) with my family and dogs.

“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.
— Viktor Frankl
